Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), through its Center for Quality Assurance (CQA), has once again held a close engagement with related units to support realization of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) application, focusing specifically on Research and Community Service Standards (PkM).

The meeting was held collaboratively, involving various relevant stakeholders, including representatives from the Directorate of Research and Strategic Cooperation (DRKS) and the Center of Information Technology (CIT). The primary goal of this meeting was to aligning the technical needs of AMI’s application with the quality evaluation instruments for Research and Community Service, as well as to strengthen data integration to support an effective and efficient audit process.

In his presentation, Head of CIT, Yanuar Firdaus, ST., MT., emphasized that the success of AMI is heavily relied on the readiness of the supporting digital systems. “Support for AMI’s application is crucial to ensuring that all activities that are being carried out run effectively and efficiently. Hence, it is significant for us to simplify the workflow of data input while simultaneously pay attention to the developed systems,” he explained.

Echoing this sentiment, the Director of DRKS, Saiful Umam, Ph.D., highlighted the importance of an integrated system in the research reporting process. “Ideally, every lecturer or researcher affiliated with UIII should input their data only through a single integrated system. This would greatly assist in the monitoring and evaluation of academic quality,” he stated.

Beyond technical discussions, the meeting also produced several main agreements that serve as strategic steps in strengthening academic governance at UIII. These include updating business processes and harmonizing data of publication, integrating PkM activities into the Strategic Plan (Renstra), and scheduling follow-up coordination meetings. Additionally, it was agreed to adjust the order of AMI indicator questions to better reflect institutional needs and coherent with academic targets. With an integrated and structured system, the future implementation of AMI is expected to be more effective, efficient, and supportive of comprehensive academic quality achievement.

This meeting marks one of UIII’s concrete steps in reinforcing a comprehensive quality culture across the campus. Through the development of a structured, digitally-based AMI system, UIII remains committed to continuously improving the quality of higher education governance while strengthening its position as a leading university both nationally and internationally.
